Depuis son sommet, on jouit d\u2019un \u00e9poustouflant panorama o\u00f9 se c\u00f4toient les Alpes, les Apennins et les lacs! Le sommet du Monte Generoso revendique un pass\u00e9 prestigieux en tant que but d\u2019excursion et destination touristique. La plus ancienne locomotive \u00e0 vapeur encore en activit\u00e9 en Suisse y roule sur ses rails depuis 1890, tirant derri\u00e8re elle des wagons panoramiques. Pour accomplir les 1\u2019400 m\u00e8tres de d\u00e9nivel\u00e9, elle demande non seulement un dur labeur de la part des conducteurs et des chauffeurs, mais aussi plusieurs tonnes de charbon et plus de 2\u2019000 litres d\u2019eau.
