The cement manufactured in this plant was used to build roads, bridges, dams, public and private buildings throughout the Canton of Ticino. The cement plant, which closed down several years ago, was recently demolished and the site of its buildings has for the most part reverted to nature and been integrated into the Gole della Breggia GeoPark.
